About

Born in 1999, Evin Kacar spent her childhood in Diyarbakır. She studied Ceramics and Glass Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (2018–2023), where she developed an interdisciplinary approach beyond her primary field.

During her studies, she worked as an assistant to ceramic artist Kemal Tizgöl and later gained professional experience at Kulak Ceramics in Istanbul, where she was involved in production, sales, and studio operations. After graduating, she participated in an artist support program organized by Bocchi and worked as an assistant to artist Gönül Nuhoğlu.

In 2024, Kacar was selected for the TamArt residency program, supported by the Institut français de Turquie, and spent two months in Saint-Étienne, France. There, she produced a large-scale mural (3 × 8 m), later reinterpreted in Eskişehir (2.5 × 4 m).

In March 2025, she opened her first solo exhibition at Haliç Sanat 3 in Istanbul. In April 2025, she led the “Coastline Lab Istanbul” workshop at SALT Galata as a facilitator, guiding participants in collective visual mapping practices.

Kacar’s practice continues to develop through site-specific research, material experimentation, and the evolution of a personal visual language across different contexts.
